Apple first offered night Mode in conjunction with the release of the iPhone 11 series in 2019. When your iPhone model that is compatible with this feature detects low light circumstances, the function will activate automatically and make the necessary adjustments to provide you with improved results. For iOS 15: How to turn off Night mode? Night Mode may be turned off for a single shot, but if you tried to take a second shot, Night Mode would automatically reactivate. Before iOS 15, this was the case. Apple's iOS 15 adds the option to deactivate Night Mode and save the settings so that it remains deactivated even after the feature is turned off. Here's how to do it.

How Do I Enable Night Mode on the iPhone Camera?

Night Mode is one of the shooting modes available on the iPhone camera, and it is always turned on by default. As long as it's not broken, it's fantastic. Since iOS 15, you may deactivate Night Mode temporarily or permanently on the iPhone camera. On previous versions of iOS, you could turn off Night Mode for a short time, but it would come right back on every time you launched the camera app on your iPhone. However, Night Mode may be turned off completely with iOS 15 until you wish to put it back on.

How to Turn Off Night Mode on Your iPhone Camera for a Limited Amount of Time

You may disable the Night Mode camera for a single shot by opening the Camera app on your device, touching the symbol that represents Night Mode, and then sliding the adjustment slider into an Off position. This will accomplish the desired result (far left). It's possible that if you've followed the directions above, the Night Mode camera settings will be preserved, and you'll need to switch them back on either before you quit the camera app or even the next time you access it.

However, you have the option of going back into Settings, pressing Camera, and then pressing Preserve Settings and toggling the Night Mode feature back to the Off position. This will ensure that Night Mode is set to on/Automatic each time the Camera app is opened. If you make this selection, Night Mode will always be active.

How to Save The Settings for Night Mode on an iPhone 11 Or A New Model

To turn off Night Mode for a specific shot, swipe to the left on the Night Mode slider beneath the viewfinder after tapping the Night Mode symbol at the top of your screen in the Camera app. That image will no longer be allowed to use it. The Night Mode setting would be removed, and the camera app would return to its default of Auto the next time it was used. To make a similar point, moving the slider to the right will set Night Mode to Max for the current low-light shot, and then it will revert to Auto. If you don't want to have to toggle Night Mode on and off or use the slider for every picture, follow these instructions to disable Night Mode permanently:

  • Open your iPhone's Settings app.
  • Look for 'Camera' at the bottom of your screen.
  • Select 'Preserve Settings' from the drop-down menu.
  • Turn on "Night Mode" mode

When you shoot low-light photos with your iPhone, the settings you previously used to activate Night Mode will be saved. It would help if you kept in mind that this option is only accessible on iOS 15, so you will need to update your smartphone. Additionally, you will need an iPhone with Night Mode as a feature, which means that you will need an iPhone 11 or newer.

Conclusion

Night Mode doesn't always provide the results you're hoping for while trying to take pictures at night. Turning off Night Mode, for example, can avoid overexposure and a blown-out image if you want to capture an accurate nighttime scene when all sources of light stay dim.

Once Night Mode displays in the viewfinder, press it to turn it off if you don't want it to activate while shooting in low light automatically. The issue is that if you open the Camera app once again and the sensor determines that there is insufficient light, Night Mode will immediately activate again. In iOS 14, Night Mode can only be permanently disabled by disabling it each time the Camera app is used. However, with iOS 15, you can turn off Night Mode and make sure it doesn't come back on.
